Our Purpose
White Stone Chapel Ministries is a small non-denominational assembly of believers in Jesus Christ who are committed to studying the Bible in a way that honors the timeline and nature of the promises made and kept within it. Our mission is to study. We simply share in common a love for the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob and God’s only son, Jesus Christ, as well as a desire to study his word. We are not teachers of the Bible. We are students of the Bible, striving to let Scripture be our guide and allowing God to teach us through His Holy Word.
Steve Glosup
Steve Glosup has been married to Barbara, the love of his life, for forty-six years. They have four grown children with families of their own that actively serve in various ministries in East Texas. Steve surrendered to the Gospel ministry and was licensed to preach on July 20, 1977. Three months later, he was ordained and began pastoring his first congregation in Shepherd, Texas. This marked the beginning of a forty-seven year ministry which includes having pastored three traditional Baptist churches, starting and pastoring a non-denominational church, as well as starting and pastoring White Stone Chapel Ministries in Canton, Texas, where he currently pastors. Throughout most of those years he was a bi-vocational minister working as a licensed funeral director and embalmer and serving families during some of their most difficult days. After hosting a Bible study in his home for a year, Steve built White Stone Chapel in 2021, where the Bible study group currently meets. Its name comes from Revelation 2:17, where John recorded Christ having said, “The one who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit faith unto the churches. To the one that overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and a new name written on the stone which no one knows except the one who receives it.” Steve is dedicated to searching the Scriptures for the truth to the tough questions that he and so many others share. White Stone Chapel Ministries was founded for exactly that purpose! Although we are small in structure, as pastor, he invites as many as are interested to join us online and actively study with us. Let’s open God’s Word and rightly divide it together.
Teresa Brewington
Teresa Brewington is a wife and mother who professes Jesus Christ to be the Lord of her life, the Son of the God of Abraham, the Mediator of the new covenant, and the fulfillment of all Old Testament prophecy concerning the last days of the old covenant. She professes the Bible to be the record of God’s accomplished goal of eternal salvation for the faithful believer. Her Christian walk includes over fifteen years of worship-leading experience. In addition, she and her husband have assisted in the establishment of four different ministries in their local area. After twelve years of practicing as a registered nurse, she made the decision to set nursing aside to homeschool her children. During that time, she spent countless hours studying the Word of God. That journey highlighted inconsistencies between some of the traditional church positions and the inspired text itself. Where tradition and text disagreed, she was determined to honor Scripture. Her passion is to study the Bible for herself and assist others in studying for themselves as well. She believes the Bible is meant to be understood. She believes it is meant to be studied and vetted against its own promises. However, one cannot vet fulfillment unless they study what was promised. She strives to allow the inspired text to be the authority that drives conclusions. Her passion is to study objectively, honoring audience relevance, cultural relevance, Hebraic expression, ancient language and the inspired timeline set forth by the God of Abraham.
“The most valuable tools for making one's own informed conclusions regarding theology are personal knowledge and understanding of the facts found within the inspired text. This work emphasizes and is built upon those facts. Inform yourself! Study! Then live in the peace that surpasses all understanding!”
“Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
